Pharmacist Infusion Services

Responsibilities As our Pharmacist Infusion Services at St. Luke's Health - Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you'll help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury. You'll build trust in these interactions by reviewing every prescription in your queue. We never rely entirely on the computer to check for safety; we always use an expert for the final check. Thatu2019s you. You'll review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion. While youu2019re busy impacting the healthcare industry, weu2019ll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance and more + Provides pharmacy services and care to all patients serviced by an outpatient oncology pharmacy area. + Develops clinical pharmacy standards related to oncology pharmacy according to the organizational policies/procedures for ensuring the quality of medication therapy. + Monitors therapy and consults with other professional providers, provides education services to all clients and healthcare team, provides accurate and comprehensive patient specific drug information to patients/families, and works to continually improve clinical care and systems + Performs all distributive functions of the department; physician order interpretation, order entry into EMR, therapy monitoring, IV admixture functions, checking of technician activity, monitoring delivery systems, computer operation and stock control. Qualifications + Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy + 5 years of experience in Pharmacy in lieu of Board Certification + Active State Pharmacist License Perferred Education and Experience: + 2 years of oncology or infusion pharmacy experience Overview The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, womenu2019s services, neurosciences, pediatric care and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders.
