Vet Technician / Vet Assistant

VCA Deer Creek Animal Hospital is located in Crowley, Texas, just south of Fort Worth, Texas. We see dogs, cats, reptiles and pocket pets. We are a small practice, with 2 doctors, giving us a great sense of family VCA offers extensive benefits packages, including paid time off, health insurance, 401K and employee pet discounts Snapshot of Our Veterinary Assistants: In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. The skills that you will utilize include, but are not limited to u00b7 u00b7 Maintaining electronic medical records. u00b7 Restraint for physical exam and procedures. u00b7 Handling and processing of samples for laboratory testing. u00b7 Assist Doctors and Technicians in patient care and client communication. u00b7 Admitting and discharging patients. u00b7 Routine cleaning and stocking. u00b7 Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients Requirements: This position does require a strong skill set in the basics of restraint, animal care and basic veterinary knowledge. Schedule: Full-time 35-40 hours/per week, with flexible schedules. We are open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and 1st & 3rd Sat 9am-1pm. We are closed Sundays and all major holidays.
