Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in San Ramon, California. This role will focus on key accounting functions, including month-end close processes, reconciliations, and cash management. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy while supporting financial operations. Responsibilities: + Handle daily accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations + Reconcile cash balances from financial institutions with the general ledger on a daily basis + Prepare and record daily check deposits with corresponding journal entries + Manage banking administration (e.g., online banking portals, account openings/closures, and bank communications) + Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including additions, disposals, and depreciation entries + Review and resolve daily positive pay exceptions from financial institutions + Assist with company credit card expense coding and related journal entries + Support special projects as needed Requirements + Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred + Experience in homebuilding or construction industry a plus, but not required + Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables (intermediate level) + Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills + Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
