Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join a growing, dynamic legal team in Pasadena, California. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, with a focus on business litigation, judgment enforcement, and appellate work. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee cases from initiation to resolution, including trial or arbitration. u2022 Conduct extensive legal research and draft high-quality motions, briefs, and other legal documents. u2022 Handle a mix of business litigation (40%), post-judgment enforcement (40%), and appellate matters (20%), with a potential emphasis on post-judgment work. u2022 Prepare and respond to discovery requests, ensuring compliance with all procedural rules. u2022 Take and defend depositions to gather critical case information. u2022 Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings and trials. u2022 Collaborate with colleagues to ensure thorough trial preparation and effective case strategy. u2022 Stay updated on relevant legal precedents and industry developments to strengthen case outcomes. u2022 Provide clear and timely communication with clients regarding case progress and strategies. Requirements u2022 Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, including trial preparation and attendance. u2022 Hold an active license to practice law in the state of California. u2022 Demonstrate expertise in judgment enforcement, business litigation, and appellate work. u2022 Exhibit strong legal research and writing skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work. u2022 Have experience in drafting motions, briefs, and other litigation documents. u2022 Be proficient in managing discovery, including preparing and responding to discovery requests. u2022 Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues. u2022 Show a proven ability to handle complex litigation matters across various industries.
