Description Job Title: Tax Manager Location: South Bay, CA (Hybrid u2013 Remote Outside Tax Season) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent A respected public accounting firm in the South Bay is seeking a skilled Tax Manager to lead client engagements and support a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. This role is ideal for a tax professional ready to take ownership of client relationships and mentor a growing team. This position follows a hybrid model: on-site during tax season, and remote outside of it. Key Responsibilities: + Manage and advise clients on individual, corporate, partnership, and LLC tax matters + Lead tax planning strategies and provide proactive guidance + Review and prepare complex tax returns for HNW individuals and businesses + Mentor and supervise junior staff and oversee day-to-day engagement activities + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations + Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues + Communicate with the IRS and state agencies regarding audits and inquiries + Maintain strong client relationships and support continued firm growth Qualifications: + 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting + CPA license required + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + Deep knowledge of individual and business tax filings, especially for HNW clients + Strong understanding of current tax laws and planning strategies + Excellent communication and client relationship skills + Experience with tax software such as Lacerte, ProSystem FX, or similar + Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, especially during tax season This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative, client-focused firm that offers flexibility outside of peak season.
