Accounting Manager

Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timely completion of accounting processes, while fostering collaboration and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and operational excellence. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and ensuring effective delegation of tasks. u2022 Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger activities and account reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Lead month-end and year-end close processes, identifying and resolving issues to ensure deadlines are met. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements. u2022 Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to review aging reports and address outstanding items. u2022 Supervise the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. u2022 Manage treasury activities, including wire payments, fraud alerts, and bank reconciliations. u2022 Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations. u2022 Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary schedules and documentation. u2022 Support the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. u2022 Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). u2022 Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across teams. u2022 Proven ability to deliver reconciliations and participate actively in internal audits. u2022 Experience in financial statement audits and account reconciliation processes. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage journal entries and accruals with precision.
