Accounting Manager

Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Fresno, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in manufacturing accounting and inventory management, along with a strong ability to manage teams and implement systems effectively. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections. u2022 Lead efforts in inventory management and cost accounting, with a focus on manufacturing operations. u2022 Implement and optimize financial systems, ensuring alignment with organizational needs. u2022 Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration. u2022 Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop financial models and analyze product-line profitability. u2022 Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and systems. u2022 Design and execute strategies for system implementation and integration, enhancing operational efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management or supervisory roles. u2022 Strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting; experience in the beverage industry is a plus. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and WineDirect preferred, or similar mid-tier systems like Sage or Microsoft Dynamics. u2022 Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize financial systems from the ground up. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel, including creating complex financial formulas and reports. u2022 Solid understanding of GAAP and automated financial reporting systems. u2022 Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
