Description Attorney opportunity in Pasadena, California at growing plaintiff's employment law practice. This plaintiff firm has protected employees for a decade and is looking for a new attorney to join its team. This attorney will be managing a caseload with supervision from the firm's principal and senior attorney. This associate attorney will be managing a caseload of matters from inception through resolution. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle a caseload of approximately 25-30 matters, managing cases from initiation through trial. u2022 Conduct discovery processes, including defending depositions early in the role. u2022 Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. u2022 Represent clients during court appearances and hearings. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address concerns. u2022 Engage with opposing counsel to negotiate and resolve disputes. u2022 Participate in strategic planning and case preparation to ensure successful outcomes. u2022 Collaborate closely with team members to foster a supportive work environment. u2022 Maintain adherence to firm policies while delivering high-quality legal services. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in civil litigation. u2022 Familiarity with plaintiff employment law is highly desirable. u2022 Strong discovery and deposition skills. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. u2022 Active license to practice law in California. u2022 Proximity to Pasadena, California for a manageable commute. u2022 Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and case outcomes.
