Description Robert Half is proud to partner with one of Riverside's most well-established, respected law firms that is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Attorney to join its team. The firm specializes in civil litigation, primarily focusing on public entity defense cases that range from employment discrimination and medical malpractice to constitutional law claims and jail-related lawsuits. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile federal cases and contribute to impactful legal matters. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage civil litigation cases from inception through trial, including overseeing all phases of case progression. u2022 Conduct discovery processes, including depositions of experts and plaintiffs. u2022 Draft and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment, while preparing complex legal briefs. u2022 Represent clients in court appearances and hearings with professionalism and precision. u2022 Prepare and file pleadings in alignment with case requirements. u2022 Collaborate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and witnesses to ensure effective communication and case strategy. u2022 Meet billable hour requirements of 1,920 annually, averaging 160 per month. u2022 Provide detailed case analysis and legal strategy recommendations to clients and partners. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with defense work. u2022 Proven expertise in handling complex litigation matters, including public entity defense. u2022 Strong skills in drafting motions, conducting depositions, and managing discovery processes. u2022 Excellent courtroom presence and ability to handle court appearances independently. u2022 Ability to meet and exceed billable hour requirements while maintaining high-quality case outcomes. u2022 Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals. u2022 Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar. This attorney should live local enough to Riverside to comfortably work on a hybrid remote schedule. Attorneys are generally onsite at least 3x per week.
