Director of Finance

Description We are in search of a Director of Finance to join our team in SONOMA, California. As the Director of Finance, you will be a strategic leader, providing valuable insights and guidance to Operations Leaders, Partners, Executive Committees, and Department Heads. This role involves interacting with a variety of entities, including insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, commercial and government banks to effectively manage the assets of the business. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately interpreting financial data within the organization and communicating this in a clear and comprehensive format to point out significant variations in the operations. u2022 Leading in the development and implementation of benchmarking techniques to enhance revenues while improving productivity and cost efficiencies. u2022 Overseeing and leading in the creation of the annual budget, capital budgets, and the rolling forecasts, in collaboration with other key stakeholders. u2022 Reporting accurate and complete financial and management reports in a timely manner, in line with the company and ownership reporting requirements and policy. u2022 Ensuring reporting compliance with the Uniform Chart of Accounts, internal Policies & Procedures, ownership and bank documents, and hotel management or other contractual agreements concerning accounting matters. u2022 Monitoring and managing the safekeeping of all legal records and documents, such as hotel leases and contracts. u2022 Developing, documenting, and maintaining control systems within the Hotels to ensure compliance. u2022 Creating and promoting the culture of business partnering by working closely with the Resort General Manager and the VP of Finance & Business Support. u2022 Working within the Talent Management System to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive. u2022 Utilizing your knowledge of accounting software systems, annual budgeting, auditing, budget processes, financial statement preparation, budgeting - forecasting, rolling forecast, capital assets, cost reduction analysis, and financial planning & analysis (FP& A) to drive the performance of your areas of responsibility. Requirements u2022 Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance-related role in the Hotel/Hospitality industry u2022 Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems u2022 Demonstrated experience in a variety of Accounting Functions u2022 Skilled in preparing and managing an Annual Budget u2022 Ability to prepare Financial Statements u2022 Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting u2022 Familiarity with Rolling Forecast u2022 Understanding of Capital Assets u2022 Experience in Cost Reduction Analysis u2022 Proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) For immediate consideration, please call Amanda Howell at 707-578-3355.
