The Controller will be responsible for managing and performing various accounting functions for multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and manage accounting functions for multiple client accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. u2022 Record and reconcile financial transactions, including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. u2022 Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, producing accurate financial statements and reports. u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and provide expert guidance on accounting practices and financial best practices. u2022 Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance to ensure timely and accurate execution. u2022 Analyze financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, and present findings to management and clients. u2022 Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support clients' strategic decision-making. u2022 Stay abreast with accounting and industry regulations, and software to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. u2022 Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support to foster professional growth. u2022 Utilize GAAP Accounting knowledge and QuickBooks software to manage and analyze financial data effectively. Requirements u2022 Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of a Controller or similar financial management roles u2022 Proficiency in GAAP Accounting and Accounting Principles is mandatory u2022 Experience with QuickBooks or similar financial software is required u2022 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail u2022 Excellent leadership and management skills u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information u2022 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred u2022 Proven track record in financial project management u2022 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities u2022 Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
