Salary: $2846 / Week Pay (Regular)Pay (Overtime)MealsHousingGross Pay $42.00 $63.00 $476.00 $770.00 $2,926.00 The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans. Minimum Requirements: + High School Diploma or equivalent + One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred. + Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging + A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications + Current CPR if applicable + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Job Requirements: 4X10's Education and Work Experience: + Associates degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: + Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required + Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA + Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA + Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required + Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR + Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR + ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required Essential Functions: + Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric. + Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. + Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location. + Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations. + Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. + Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
