GENERAL PURPOSE: Manage the $24 million waste disposal process for all Ross and dds stores. This includes supervision of a coordinator team, leadership of outside vendors and engagement with various internal departments to ensure cost effective service delivery. Responsibilities also include engagement with various departments on pre-opening planning of disposal services and support during opening process. This manager will be part of the Store Facilities team and support after-hours emergency response on a rotating basis with other managers. The base salary range for this role is $93,000 - $140,400. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Manage overall execution of disposal services for all stores, including service delivery, expense and capital repairs, and process improvements. u2022 Manage and develop coordinator team supporting all disposal services. u2022 Drive performance of disposal management partners (currently Waste Harmonics, Synergy Waste, and DRM), including goal setting, periodic operational meetings, performance reporting, leadership engagement and follow up. u2022 Deliver timely and cost-effective repairs of disposal equipment, including compactors and all related components, monitoring devices, and disposal related infrastructure. u2022 Utilize data analytics, vendor management, interdepartmental engagement, and all available resources, to deliver cost-effective service, maximize landfill diversion, identify new ideas, and maximizing the performance of existing processes and initiatives. u2022 Partner closely with all constituents, within and outside department, on invoice processing, periodic expense, and capital closing as well as budget and forecast planning. u2022 Engage in Store Design meetings to ensure up-coming new stores have supportable disposal services that meet all regulatory requirements. u2022 Engage in collaborative problem solving of disposal issues with all internal and external constituents. u2022 Effectively and professionally support service escalations from store field team and other constituents. u2022 Provide support and guidance to new store opening (NSO) process in the delivery of needed disposal services, including meetings with Store Design team, engagement with Real Estate deal makers, Property Management, Construction, vendors, and municipalities. u2022 Provide meaningful periodic and ad hoc reporting for all services and costs related to responsibilities. u2022 Work with Field Communications and other teams to provide accurate and timely communication to stores and field team regarding policies, practices, and requirements. u2022 Maintain awareness of overall disposal industry trends, regulatory changes, new technologies and vendor community. u2022 Support overall Store Facilities department as part of management team on special assignments, emergency response, and by being on-call for store emergencies on a rotating weekly basis with the other managers on the team. Regular attendance also is a requirement of the position. This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
