As a Turnaround Planner, you will be part of the project management team supporting various operational initiatives. Whatu2019s the Job? CONTROL VALVE PLANNER THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN CARSON, CA. LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. WORK SCHEDULE 40 HOURS PER WEEK DURING PLANNING PHASE; 7/12'S SCHEDULE DURING TURNAROUND EXECUTION. PLANNING PHASE EXPECTED FROM 8/4/25 - 9/2026, EXECUTION PHASE 10/2026 - 11/2026, PROJECT CLOSEOUT - 12/2026 REQUIRED PPE: HARD HAT, SAFETY GLASSES, STEEL TOE BOOTS, FRC CLOTHING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Proven ability to effectively interact with multi-functional areas (Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.) u2022 Understands instrumentation construction and workflow processes. u2022 Some bending, climbing, crawling, lifting and shift work will be required. u2022 Ability to accurately perform other duties as assigned. u2022 Understands quality standards as outlined by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, valve specs, and location plans u2022 Experience in preparing and reviewing test /work packages for issuance to the field u2022 5+ years as a Control Valve Planner u2022 Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) OneNote, SAP, Primavera P6. u2022 5+ years of Control Valve Tech maintenance experience and/or CV maintenance planning u2022 Ability to QA/QC work packages after work completion. u2022 Ability to understand Preventive Maintenance programs and how to translate that to work packages. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Assists with the development of the control valve work scope. u2022 Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution. u2022 Ability to read BOM and identify parts need for valve overhauls u2022 Perform and lead field walks for site verification. u2022 Organizing materials through expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring the correct parts are available for jobs u2022 Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline. u2022 Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution. u2022 Create job planning packages for each work order per Air Products guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc. u2022 Support Air Products Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner. u2022 Ability to effectively communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups. u2022 Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas. u2022 Complete close out and documentation as required by Air Products standards and procedures. PERFORMANCE STANDARD: u2022 Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines. Travel may be required as much as 25% depending on projects u2022 Ability to work without close supervision. u2022 Utilizes positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts. u2022 Accepts direction, criticism, and supervision. u2022 Demonstrates ability to remain calm in demanding situations. u2022 Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy. u2022 Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. u2022 Ability to demonstrate and perform efficiently and reliably all categories of this document.
