_What Clinical Services contributes to Cardinal Health_ Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. The Medical Assistant performs clinical support services, assists with clerical duties and maintains patient care documentation in medical records. This position is responsible for providing professional care specifically to Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology patients in an outpatient setting. _Responsibilities_ u00b7 Register new patients. u00b7 Assist during medical procedures. u00b7 Take vital signs. u00b7 Schedule external labs, diagnostic and other follow-up for patients. u00b7 Request and obtain necessary clinical documents for the patientu2019s chart. u00b7 Update medical records. u00b7 Organize examination rooms. u00b7 Sterilize / prepare medical instruments. u00b7 Disposal of contaminated supplies. u00b7 Follow up on patient calls. u00b7 Schedule appointments. u00b7 Coordinate dictation schedule. u00b7 May assist with verifying health insurance coverage, and other clerical duties. u00b7 Regular attendance and punctuality. u00b7 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. u00b7 Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. u00b7 Perform any other functions as required by management. _Qualifications_ u00b7 High School graduate, preferred u00b7 Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or completion of a Medical Assisting program u00b7 Current CPR certification u00b7 Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite u00b7 Minimum of two years' experience, preferred Location cCARE Cancer Center: Fresno 7130 North Millbrook Avenue Fresno, CA 93720 Anticipated hourly range: $21.00 per hour - $25.51per hour Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. + Medical, dental and vision coverage + Paid time off plan + Health savings account (HSA) + 401k savings plan + Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay + Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) + Short- and long-term disability coverage + Work-Life resources + Paid parental leave + Healthy lifestyle programs Application window anticipated to close: 9/20/2025 if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
