Responsibilities:u00b7 Create and maintain project plans u2014 define activities, work breakdown structures, predecessors, successors, resources, and baselinesu00b7 Prepare business cases, contingency releases, and manage project budgets within established project governance rulesu00b7 Develop, monitor, and update cash flow projectionsu00b7 Ensure project scope control and documentation is maintainedu00b7 Analyze and report on variances for project cost and scheduleu00b7 Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysisu00b7 Measure the progress of activities and milestones in project plansu00b7 Lead meetings for project scoping, constructability review, design review, competitive bid, construction inspection, commissioning, and as-built incorporation.u00b7 Negotiate and execute contracts, process change orders and report actual costsu00b7 Drive consensus, communicate responsibilities, and ensure ownership and accountabilityu00b7 Arbitrate and resolve conflicts within the projectu00b7 Manage change control, involving project sponsor and stakeholdersu00b7 Conduct design and drawing reviews on-site with various project stakeholders to identify and mitigate any issues and challenges identified during this processu00b7 Prepare and present timely and actionable status updatesu00b7 Facilitate focused and cross-functional meetings and callsu00b7 Draft and communicate meeting minutes, risk registers, decision logs and status reportsu00b7 Represent the client to government agencies and make presentations to senior management and stakeholdersu00b7 Work with various government entities in submitting and obtaining permit approvalsu00b7 Interact with customers concerning land rightsu00b7 Lead the project team in identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks, issues, and opportunitiesu00b7 Escalate risks and issues in order to keep projects on schedule and on budgetu00b7 Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate into projects as best practicesThis is a Hybrid role, candidate must be able to commute to the Chico area 2-3 times a week.#epjobs #naepjobs Minimum Qualifications:u00b7 5+ years of work experience in project management or construction managementu00b7 Good verbal and written communication skillsu00b7 A willingness to travel for site visits, kickoff meetings, and other project-related needsDesired Qualifications:u00b7 Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certificationu00b7 Experience with electrical distribution, substation, or transmission projectsu00b7 Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projectu00b7 A natural tendency for taking ownership and a willingness to leadu00b7 A strong commitment to quality and attention to detailu00b7 A passion for training and building a teamJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
