Financial CSR - Client Service Representative

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work directly with our clients. Someone who has worked in the front office as well as in the back office would be best. As a financial CSR, your duties will include creating an estimate of charges based on the treatment plan and presenting that treatment plan to the pet owner. Must have previous experience in an animal hospital and it would be a plus to have knowledge of veterinary terminology. You will also be entering charges of hospitalized patients and providing those pet parents over the phone with a financial update. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms u2022 Scheduling and confirming appointments u2022 Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients u2022 Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments u2022 Creating and presenting treatment plans based on the doctor's recommendations. u2022 Answering questions regarding services and cost u2022 Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 At least one year of proven past experience helping clients in an animal hospital setting u2022 High School Diploma/GED or equivalent u2022 Excellent listening and communication skills u2022 Compassion for pets and peopleu2014as well as awareness and understanding of othersu2019 reactions u2022 Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action u2022 The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office u2022 Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays u2022 The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste If you are a current associate, you need to apply through our internal career site.
