Tax Manager - Public

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in public accounting and tax management, capable of leading a team while maintaining a focus on client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex tax matters and delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their tax-related needs. u2022 Review and approve complex tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. u2022 Supervise and mentor a team of 2-5 tax professionals, fostering their growth and development. u2022 Collaborate closely with partners to align tax strategies with organizational goals. u2022 Focus on tax provisions, compliance, and planning for diverse clients, including those in real estate. u2022 Oversee the preparation and review of individual, estate, and income tax returns. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate completion of annual tax provisions. u2022 Provide guidance on intricate tax issues and offer solutions to meet client needs. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure best practices. u2022 Drive operational efficiency within the department through effective management and use of accounting systems. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting and tax management. u2022 Expertise in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including individual, estate, and income tax. u2022 Strong knowledge of annual income tax provisions and compliance processes. u2022 Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service. u2022 Experience leading and mentoring teams in a detail-oriented environment. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems such as CaseWare and ProSystem Fx. u2022 In-depth understanding of tax laws and regulations. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
