No County Oneida Street Address 5900 Airport Road City Oriskany State NY Zip Code 13424 Duties Description In this dynamic and immersive position, you will:u2022 Bring high-stakes situations to life, simulating events such as active shooter incidents, vehicular accidents, natural disasters, and hostage crises.u2022 Participate in relevant trainings for the first responder community which focuses on Homeland Security, Natural Disaster Preparedness and Recovery, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.u2022 Act in various roles u2014 from innocent bystanders, victims, hostage takers, violent protestor to active shooter u2014 to help responders practice life-saving decision-making.u2022 Will be required to run, hide under and behind objects, yell, scream, cry, discharge training weapons, remain silent and more.u2022 Follow established safety protocols and stay true to the script provided by the instructional team.u2022 Engage in intense, realistic scenarios that may involve simulated gunfire, explosions, or traumatic injuries.u2022 Adapt to various environments and weather conditions, with occasional nights and weekends required. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must physically be able to perform the duties of the assigned role and be able to understand and follow directions in English. Candidates may be asked to operate a motor vehicle and possess and maintain an appropriate NYS motor vehicle driver's license.Note: The minimum qualifications and duties for each role vary according to the specific nature of the simulation, and the role required of the training extra.
