Some of your responsibilities will include acquiring images, processing images and providing emergency on call assistance.A caregiver in this position works days, from 9:00am—5:30pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technologyRegistered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standingCurrent state licensure as a Radiology TechnologistBasic Life Support certificationPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:One year of experience as a General Radiologic TechnologistKnowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment, so as to safely inject and image human vascular anatomyKnowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic examsKnowledgeable of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environmentAbility to function well with minimal to no supervision, especially during after hours call-in emergency serviceOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
