Concrete Laborer

::: {ogsc=black olk-copy-source=MessageBody} **Job Summary:** ::: A Concrete Laborer works on construction sites to assist with the preparation, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete for a variety of projects such as sidewalks, driveways, foundations, slabs, walls, and other structures. This role involves physical labor, use of hand and power tools, and working as part of a crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. ::: {ogsc=black} **Key Responsibilities:** ::: Prepare construction sites by setting up forms, rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcement. ::: {ogsc=black} Mix, pour, and spread concrete using shovels, screeds, rakes, and power equipment. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (floats, trowels, edgers) or mechanical finishers. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Monitor curing process and apply proper techniques (sealing, covering, cutting control joints). ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Operate concrete saws, mixers, vibrators, and other construction tools and equipment. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Perform demolition, clean-up, and other general labor tasks as needed. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Follow safety regulations and always wear proper PPE. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Assist foremen, finishers, and other crew members with assigned duties. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} **Qualifications & Skills:** ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Previous concrete or construction experience preferred but not always required. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods). ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Knowledge of concrete materials, tools, and finishing techniques is a plus. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Basic math skills for measuring and mixing. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. ::: ::: {aria-hidden=true ogsc=black} **** ::: ::: {ogsc=black} **Physical Requirements:** ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Ability to lift 50-100 lbs regularly. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Standing, kneeling, bending, and working in awkward positions for extended periods. ::: ::: {ogsc=black} Working in hot, cold, or wet environments. :::
