NOTICE OF OPEN POSITION Evening IOP & Group Clinician - Adult Substance Use & Mental Health September 2025For more than 50 years, Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington and Williamstown. Washington County Mental Health Services is “Where Hope and Support Come Together.??Position:WCMHS is seeking a skilled and compassionate clinician to lead Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) sessions and other evening therapy groups for adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. The clinician will facilitate structured group therapy three evenings per week (20 hours), focusing on recovery skills, insight development, and long-term sobriety. This role also includes providing individual support, conducting assessments, and collaborating with internal and external teams. Ideal candidates are passionate about group work, recovery-focused care, and thrive in a community mental health setting.Qualifications:Education and experience requirements for this position includeMasters degree in a mental health-related field (license eligible)Minimum of one year of experience providing psychotherapyExperience facilitating therapy groupsAvailability to work evening hoursLADC, LCMHC, or other related licensure preferredFamiliarity with group-based IOP models and treatment of co-occurring disorders preferredKnowledge, skills, and competencies required for the position includeProficiency in facilitating structured group therapy sessionsAbility to provide individualized clinical services to group participantsSkill in conducting screenings, assessments, and treatment planning using evidence-based practicesStrong collaboration skills with internal clinical teams and external service providersCompetence in maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentationCapacity to contribute to the development of group programmingEffective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary settingCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This part time position (20 hours/week) offers an hourly rate of $26.24/hour and accrued paid sick time based on number of hours worked.
