Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II for our Inpatient Team$2,500 Sign on Bonus for Qualified CandidatesLocation: Williamsburg, VAStatus: Part Time (20 hrs/wk with ability to pick up additional hours)Shift: Rotating - 8 Hour ShiftsHours: 6am-11pm (occasional overnight coverage)Weekends: Every Other WeekendHoliday RotationThe Pharmacy Tech II performs the technician responsibilities of clinical pharmacy care delivery under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. .Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership of the work areaDemonstrates the ability to work independently defined areas of pharmacy practice competentlyAssumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to advanced clinical job positionsParticipates in the training of new employeesFills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitionerEnsures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as neededUses appropriate systems for processing patient informationEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyParticipates in clinical initiatives to continuously improve patient careTraining in an advanced Clinical Pharmacy Technician job function In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assignedA pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practiceEducationHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCertification/LicensureVirginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)Experience2 Years Pharmacy Experience (preferred)IV and Sterile Compounding Experience (preferred) Pharmacy Tech, PTCB, NHA, Medication, Pharmacy, Inpatient, Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician, Compounding, Pharmacy Tech, Epic, HospitalWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$21.42 - $35.70. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
