Discover the full scale of Gildan and prepare to be surprised at gildancorp.com.Responsible for Human Resources related duties including talent acquisition for exempt and nonexempt positions, new hire onboarding, employee relations, training, policy administration, HRIS, and employee communication.The roleOversees exempt and nonexempt hiring process for Eden's distribution facility.Manages the consistent administration of human resources policies and practices.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with leadership and employees to coordinate human resources actions, communicate information and address any employee issues.Conducts investigations to effectively resolve employee grievances.Facilitates training, including new hire orientation, with employees.Maintains data integrity in personnel files and HRIS system.Coordinates programs and events such as employee recognition and employee appreciation. Ensures that employee records are accurate, complete and legally compliant.Supports goals and objectives of the HR Department on a corporate, regional and local level.Assists with corporate reporting needs.Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards.Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.The requirementBachelors degree and 3-5 years of HR related experience, including exempt recruiting in a similar environment (distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing).Able to travel 25% of timeProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience in utilizing and maintaining a full functional integrated HRIS system (Oracle platform preferred)Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-starter and able to work independentlyAbility to work in a team-based environmentAbility to demonstrate flexibility to changing work prioritiesVery strong attention to detail and organizational skillsConfidentiality of dataHearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warningsVision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metricsJoin a publicly traded company dual-listed on NYSE and TSX with great potentialBe part of a workplace where meaningful connections and teamwork are celebratedFrom local to international, be ready to work alongside a diverse group of colleaguesBenefit from mentorship and continuous development opportunitiesTake advantage of our attractive benefits packagesWe want to get to know you better!
