Consistently demonstrate the ability to learn and perform proper procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.Demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment. Must have the ability to diagnose process and mechanical problems in single or multiple unit processes, troubleshoot basic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.Demonstrate ability to learn processes specific to the position.Possess environmental care and concern. Possess mathematical aptitude. Must be process-driven, problem-solving through the use of formal processes as the main approach.Possess knowledge of tools and equipment used to repair and maintain equipment.Identifies and resolves problems proactively and promptly.Demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of all site-specific, facility-required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies.Monitor levels of or add chemicals to disinfect water or other liquidsInspect equipment regularlyMonitor operating conditions, meters, and gaugesCollect and test water and waste/sewage samplesRecord meter and gauge readings and operational dataDocument and report test results internally and/or to regulatory agenciesOperate equipment to purify and clarify waterOperate equipment to process or dispose of chemical wastewater sewageOperate facility processes including primary and secondary treatmentComplete required stormwater permitting Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areasPerforms minor repairs on equipmentPerforms field tests in order to pace chemical dosages for the process.
