We invite you to join our team!What You'll Do:** Regional Painter & Maintenance Assistant **This is a regional position, centered around the Yarmouth area, that will cover several of our Long-Term Care Nursing facilities in Maine. The ideal candidate can travel to meet the painting needs of each building and be available to handle any additional maintenance needs that may arise.As a Painter, you will perform all levels of painting work & wall paper hanging in a facility including prepping, painting, finishing and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the physical well-being and safety of our residents. Mileage will be re-imbursed.Key Responsibilities:Prepares surfaces for painting and finishingApplies undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods and materialsMixes and matches paints and finishesAdvises in the selection and storage of painting materialsMaintain inventory of painting supplies, tools, and equipment, monitoring usage and replenishing stock as needed to minimize downtimeCollaborate with other departments, including nursing, housekeeping, and administration, to address painting-related issues, respond to resident requests, and support the overall functioning of the facilityMaintenance Assistant:Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems throughout the facilityHelp maintain the exterior grounds of the facility, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor maintenance, to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, staff, and visitorsPerform regular inspections and maintenance on facility equipment, such as elevators, generators, and fire safety systems, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the safety of residents and staffMaintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, monitoring usage and replenishing stock as needed to support maintenance operations and minimize downtimeCollaborate with other departments, including nursing, housekeeping, and administration, to address maintenance-related issues, respond to resident requests, and support the overall functioning of the facilityIf you are passionate about playing a vital role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our residents, we invite you to join our team as a Painter.What We OfferAs an affiliate of National Health Care, our Brentwood team enjoys:Competitive compensation and benefits packageComprehensive training and mentorshipOpportunities for professional growth and developmentSupportive and collaborative work environmentThe chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residentsUSD $32.00 - USD $33.65 /Hr.What You'll Bring:Qualifications for this role include:High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 yrs of experience in the fieldKnowledge of commercial/industrial practices and processes of the painting trade; paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials, and of their properties and applicationKnowledge of applicable code requirements; methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment; occupational hazards of the painting trade and precautionary measures to be observedPrevious experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care settingKnowledge of basic maintenance principles, techniques, and tools, with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairsAbility to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and quality standardsCommitment to upholding safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct in all aspects of maintenance operationsWe Hire for Heart!National Health Care Associates (National) is proud to be a family-run organization since 1984.
