Position Summary The Judge Group is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist III to support our payroll manager in ensuring accurate and timely payment for employees. The successful candidate will perform various administrative tasks, including timesheet processing, wage calculation, tax processing, and report preparation. The ideal candidate should have excellent numerical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of payroll software and regulations. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as the role involves working with different departments and levels of staff. The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion is also important.Responsibilities:Assist the payroll manager in processing payroll for employees in a timely and accurate mannerVerify and input data from timesheets, attendance records, and other sources into the payroll systemCalculate wages, taxes, deductions, and other withholdings according to company policies and legal requirementsIssue paychecks or direct deposits to employees and distribute pay stubs or statementsPrepare and maintain payroll records, reports, and statements, such as tax forms, benefits summaries, and reconciliations Respond to payroll-related inquiries and requests from employees, managers, and external partiesTroubleshoot and resolve any payroll errors or discrepanciesUpdate employee information and payroll changes in the payroll systemEnsure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and best practicesSupport payroll audits and reviews by providing relevant documentation and informationPerform other duties as assigned by the payroll managerRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldAt least three years of experience in payroll administration or a related fieldProficiency in payroll software (Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics or UKG preferred)Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulationsExcellent accounting and math skillsAbility to work with large amounts of data and perform accurate calculationsAttention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
