OPI Houston invites you to join ourmultidisciplinary behavioral health teamas aContracted On-Site Psychiatrist, serving young adults ages 18-28 in a structured, therapeutic setting.This is more than a job, it’s a chance tomake a lasting impacton individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. You’ll work in asupportive, collaborative culturethat values innovation, empathy, and clinical excellence.OPI Houston is atreatment-to-transition programoffering a structured path to healing, independence, and personal growth. Our clients begin their journey at a serene 34-acre ranch in Needville, TX, and may transition to program-leased apartments in Stafford, just minutes from Houston.Conduct psychiatric evaluations within 48 hours of admission.Provide weekly/monthly follow-up sessions and progress notes.Collaborate with families and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.Support clients through brief individual sessions.Assist with History & Physical assessments (head-to-toe evaluations).Coordinate care with external providers (GPs, specialists).Provide psychiatric servicesPrescribe medications (Controlled medications as well.)Respond to reports of pain or sickness as they arise and assess the clientDetermine when a client is to be placed on sick bed due to illness or painCheck the vital signs and weight of students as assignedMonitor clients in regard to mood, behavior and affect, and then chart the findings. (Particularly when a client is starting a new medication)Communicate any pertinent medical information to the Treatment Team and the Psychiatrist either verbally or in written formAttend weekly treatment team meetingOther duties as assignedLicensed Psychiatrist in the State of Texas (NPI & CAQH preferred).DEA TX licenseProvide current, personal liability insurance.Strong communication and documentation skills.Experience in family systems and trauma-informed care.Ability to travel between campuses as needed.Passion for working with young adults in transitional settings.Experience prescribing meds and all around medical provider experienceKnowledge of standard medical terminology and techniqueKnowledge of legal charting procedure and requirementsSkill in assessing the physical condition of the clientsSkill in communicating medical situations accurately to students, parents, and co-workersAbility to use word processing software and to navigate networksExperience or knowledge of health insurance submission processesAbility to check vital signsCollaborative team culturewith clinical and residential staff.Opportunity to shape an industry-leading program.Competitive compensationtailored to your experience and scope.Long-term impacton clients and their families.Embark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
