We believe in providing our new associates with intensive hands on training and long-term career growth opportunities from within.Salary range: $70-90k, depending upon experienceHybrid position- Mon-Wed required in officeJob Summary: As a Senior Accountant, you will support various aspects of our accounting management process by playing a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with official guidelines. You will be responsible for assisting with journal entries, account reconciliations, and contributing to the monthly close and reporting cycle. Your involvement in budget preparation, audit preparation, and the development of management reports will be crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the company. By utilizing our accounting IT systems, you will facilitate streamlined processes and help maintain accurate financial records. Duties/Responsibilities:Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Support the Monthly Close and Reporting Cycle including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.Research and analyze P&L trends and document variance explanations.Address inquiries and provide explanations regarding financial matters.Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.Provide backup coverage for daily cash recording.Support FP&A team in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.Support annual income tax return preparation for multiple entities.Participate in preparation for the annual audit.Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.Education and Experience:BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant fieldRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability and desire to work as part of a high-performing Accounting / Finance team in a fast-paced environment.2+ years accounting experienceStrong MS Office skills (especially Excel)Experience with ERP, Payroll, or reporting tools (NetSuite preferred)Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulationsSolid knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)Understanding of data analysis and forecastingWell-organized with the ability to prioritizeVery good communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
