Quality Engineer

Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Terrell, Texas. This role involves leading quality assurance efforts, overseeing a team of inspectors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise and provide guidance to a team of three Quality Inspectors, ensuring all processes meet established standards. u2022 Utilize measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers to perform precise evaluations of materials and components. u2022 Program and operate quality systems to maintain accurate records and streamline inspection processes. u2022 Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement problem-solving techniques to address quality issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and equivalent standards. u2022 Interpret and analyze technical engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation, including GD& T. u2022 Perform all duties associated with a Quality Control Technician, ensuring product integrity and reliability. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. u2022 Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and operational efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, with a proven track record in quality assurance. u2022 Leadership experience managing a team, preferably within a manufacturing setting. u2022 Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. u2022 Strong understanding of Quality Assurance Systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100. u2022 Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective problem-solving strategies. u2022 Skilled in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and GD& T documentation. u2022 Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments. u2022 Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively manage projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
