Assistant Swim Team Coach

A Coach 1 will carry out the workouts set forth by the Head Swim Team Coach or higher level Coaches; Their role is to correct and instruct all stroke and drill methods used by team. Attendance any or all dual meets, invitational meets and championship meets. As part of the coaching team, all coaches are expected to contribute maintaining a successful YMCA competitive swim program.Instruct a group of swimmers in accordance with YMCA guidelines and practice plans under the guidance of Head Coach or higher level CoachesProvide positive, encouraging and specific feedback with regard to stroke techniqueBuild effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and parentsUtilize equipment appropriately with activities and incorporate skill developmentMaintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areasAssist in competitions in all levels of eventsMinimum age of 18Knowledge of competitive swimmingCurrent YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross LifeguardingYMCA Coaches Safety Training requiredCPR and First Aid requiredWorks effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptionsBuilds rapport and relates well to othersUSD $17.00/Hr.USD $19.00/Hr.
