You will focus on API/backend microservices, with a specialization in building new feature functionality, as well as improving the reliability, availability, and efficiency of our critical systems to ensure they are scalable and performant.This role is not eligible for sponsorship.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.ResponsibilityShip end-to-end features across our web, mobile, and backend servicesBuild and integrate the REST APIs that power our productWrite clean, test-covered code and champion a culture of qualityElevate our engineering standards through collaborative code reviewsAutomate everything you can, from test cases to deployment pipelinesTurn product vision into technical reality in a fast-paced, agile teamJob DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasicBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldExpected graduation December 2025, May/June 2026Experience building projects (academic, personal, or internship) using an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, Scala, or PythonPreferredSolid foundation in core computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented designCurious, adaptable, loves to learn, collaborates in a fast-paced agile team, and is committed to delivering high-quality, end-to-end solutionsA strong interest in or aptitude for backend development, including building and consuming APIsProactive, problem-solving mindsetWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $94,600.00 - $137,875.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
