TOGETHER, WE SAVE LIVESOVERVIEWResponsible for the territory penetration, sales & business development, and servicing of Safariland law enforcement equipment to law enforcement agency end users and regional distributors within the Pacific Northwest region; inclusive of WA, OR, ID, AK, WY, & MT. Law enforcement industry (or related) background preferred. We've found that Law Enforcement Officers with leadership experience and/or equipment evaluation experience (i.e.: SWAT) are ideal for these roles when considering a 2nd career. The successful candidate will need to quickly become adept at strategically working agency sales cycles to uncover, develop, and close law enforcement agency opportunities. These opportunities will extend across a range of law enforcement equipment solutions in the Safariland assortment including body armor, ballistic helmets and shields, tactical gear, communications, and holsters/duty gear. Candidates must currently reside within the greater Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, or Boise, ID markets.RESPONSIBILITESAchievement of territory revenue goals and sales opportunity pipeline KPI'sDevelop and implement strategic plans for penetrating key agency customersResponsible for the training of distributor personnel to facilitate the sales and servicing of Safariland products to agencies.Partner with distributor personnel to uncover, strategically pursue, and close law enforcement agency opportunitiesPartner with internal cross functional teams to drive assigned projects to their successful conclusion inclusive of Business Units, Pricing and Sales Operations, Customer Service, Technical Specialists, and MarketingConduct agency discovery meetings; deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to agency end-usersMonitor and control travel expenses within establish budget parametersProvide competitive market intelligenceAdhere to Safariland's Code of Conduct standardsMonitor and manage all test and evaluation samplesCoordinate and attend various industry trade shows while facilitating new business opportunities and building customer relationshipsPosition reports to the West Region Sales DirectorQUALIFICATIONSMust reside in the primary markets within the sales territory: Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, or Boise, ID; applications from candidates located outside of these metropolitan areas are not eligible for consideration.Minimum 2 years sales or related law enforcement industry experienceBachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related field preferredUp to 60% overnight travel will be required to effectively manage this territoryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid financial and analytical skillsAbility to train, motivate, and inspire distributor sales teams and work effectively as a team memberAbility to effectively work with all levels of a large organizationKnowledge of distributor networks and contract bid processesIntermediate skills required in Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, & WordWorking knowledge of Customer Management applications (CRM)Excellent organization, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilitiesWhy work at Safariland?At Safariland our colleagues are some of the best and brightest in the industry and we are seeking new team members who exhibit the diverse competencies that will drive The Safariland Group to even greater success while maintaining our culture of being a great place to work.
