Your skill in the design, modelling, and drafting of safe, reliable, ready to install hardware will be crucial to providing safe reliable transportation to the moonSpecial Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 20% of the timeResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Create CAD models, drawings, and model-based definitions for passive thermal products.Maintain design quality and data integrity through PLM system actions.Perform design and maintenance of passive thermal products by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs, and resolving design discrepancies.Support equipment design and development for manufacturing of passive thermal products.Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any Blue Origin site, when necessary.Provide guidance on schedule and technical requirements to internal corporate drafting standards and standard drawing notes based on company, program, and industry standards.Perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews.Cross discipline collaboration to ensure updates from all stakeholders are incorporated into the designMinimum Qualifications:4+ years proven experience plus formal training in 3D computer design.Experience with CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, etc.) and Windchill; expert user level at creating and maintaining bills of materials, mechanical product models/drawings, assembly models/drawings, and installation models/drawings.Expertise with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis on large-scale complex 3D aerospace products; familiar with ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5.Knowledge of standard components, installation, and fabrication methods (eg, bolted joints, fits and clearances, sheet metal, machining, welding).Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in spacePreferred Qualifications:Aerospace design experience or design experience in a similarly regulated industry.Manufacturing equipment design support.Parametric parameter development for product design.Creo experience and/or user certification.
