Does that sound like you?The Opportunity with McKinstryWe are adding a Fire Protection Design Manager to our growing Fire Protection division in Seattle, WA .Where You'll Spend Your Time:Ensure team's on time delivery of high-quality design and material listings.Participate in Project Pre-bids, Handoffs, and Drill down meetings.Ensure clear and effective communication between Project Manager, PreConstruction Manager, Superintendent and Design Team.Set goals and track progress of established Tollgate dates in collaboration with the Construction Team and Field Superintendent.Provide feedback and approval of design labor hours estimated during Pre-bid.Evaluate design team's performance on an ongoing basis and quickly provide training in areas of opportunity.Foster professional growth for employees through mentoring, trainings and regular performance feedback.Establish a positive work environment and set a positive example of McKinstry values.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstryBachelor's degree in construction, business management, or equivalent work experience required.Demonstrated experience in leading a team.Conflict resolution skills required.Effective written and verbal communication skills required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software systems required.Solutions-based thought process and general management skills required.Strong Knowledge of Applicable codes and standards adopted by the AHJ required.Demonstrated experience with AutoSprink, HydraCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit required.Ability to effectively teach design practices.Nicet Level III In Water Based Layout Required Level IV preferred (Fire Protection Engineer Degree is an optional but not preferred route in place of Nicet).PeopleFirst BenefitsWhen it comes to the basics, we have you covered:Competitive pay401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing planPaid time off and holidaysComprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision with low or zero deductible options and low out of pocket maximumsPeople come first at McKinstry, and we go beyond the basic benefits with:Family formation benefits, including adoption and IVF assistanceUp to 16 weeks paid parental leaveTransgender inclusive benefitsCommuter benefitsPet insurance
