Job Description $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW MedicineHarborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant to join our Opioid Treatment Clinic.WORK SCHEDULE:Part-time, 80% FTE, 32 hours per weekDays, M-FDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:The program offers medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) to adults with opioid use disorder in primary care medical clinics, mental health and addictions programs, and hospital settings. The program is a funded bythe Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) grant that was awarded to Washington State in the effort to better address the current opioid use epidemic.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:Conveniently located near public transportation.Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve.Opportunity to provide career growth.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide clinical expertise to patients and their familiesServe as a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and teaching programsWork is performed with general independence and decision-making responsibility under the general guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident, clinical lead APP, and assistant director of APPsGuidelines include general policy procedures and practice guidelines established by the department and Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and technical manualsWork with the Opioid Treatment Team and provide medication assisted treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder.REQUIREMENTS:Masteru2019s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursingAND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privilegesAND National certification as a Nurse PractitionerAND BLS certificationORPhysician Assistant:Licensure as a Physicianu2019s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA).Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.AND BLS certificationEligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the organized medical staff of the hospital under Medical Staff Bylaws for hospital based positionsABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTERAs the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
