Burgess & Niple is looking for au00a0Civil Engineer - Utility Infrastructure, Entry Levelu00a0to join our team in Columbus.B&N Civil Engineer Responsibilities- Opportunity to review technical reports from utilities, learn about their business processes, and help identify opportunities to evolve and improve them- Use large data sets and optimization methods to support data-driven decision making for utility projects- Perform data analysis and support the communication of data, including technical writing and the preparation of maps, figures, tables, and other visual aidsu00a0- Learn and perform field work, such as guided assessment of the condition and security of water and wastewater facilities, guided by our pre-built inspection software- Participate in delivering projects related to all aspects of water/wastewater treatment and water distribution systems- Utilize GIS, PowerBI, and AI Technologyu00a0- Gain exposure to the business aspects of utilitiesu00a0- Collaborate with a team of EITs and PEs assisting with utility infrastructure planningu00a0Skills & Qualificationsu00a0- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program- Passed FE or have obtained EIT or EI with a desire to become a PE- 0-2 years of experience- Excellent communication skills to make an impact on projects for our clients in the public or private sector- Some experience in building databases and working with data analytics packages (e.g. GIS, PowerBI) is preferred but not required.
