Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will oversee key financial functions, including general ledger reconciliation, job costing, and financial reporting, while ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable and payable processes. You will also collaborate closely with leadership to support budgeting and financial planning efforts. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage monthly and quarterly closings for multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. u2022 Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions. u2022 Prepare and submit monthly construction draws to financial institutions, maintaining clear and organized documentation. u2022 Monitor and analyze actual construction job costs against budgeted amounts, providing detailed insights. u2022 Create and distribute quarter-end financial reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners. u2022 Assist in the annual budgeting process by entering and validating budget figures in accounting systems. u2022 Oversee intercompany entries and loans, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions. u2022 Collaborate with the Director of Accounting/FP& A to produce recurring financial reports and analyses. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate accounting or related financial analysis. u2022 Proficiency with Yardi Voyager 7s Property Management software and general accounting tools. u2022 Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis. u2022 Ability to work effectively under time constraints and meet production deadlines. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with teams and presenting financial data. u2022 Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions. u2022 Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
