Role and Responsibilities: As a Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on the Azure Kubernetes Service platform. Maintain deployment procedures, update secret certificates, and other Kubernetes administrational duties. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications and systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. Your key responsibilities will include: u00b7 Designing AKS-based solutions: You will be responsible for designing containerized solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. u00b7 This will involve creating high-level and low-level designs, identifying appropriate Kubernetes objects, and creating architecture diagrams. u00b7 Deploying containerized applications: You will be responsible for deploying containerized applications on AKS. u00b7 This will involve creating and managing Kubernetes objects, updating YAML files, configuring networking, and ensuring high availability. u00b7 Maintaining AKS-based solutions: You will be responsible for maintaining the solutions you have deployed. This will involve monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance. u00b7 Update DNS certificates for all AKS domains and capable of creating certificate signing requests. u00b7 Update secrets for service principals that are associated with AKS every 6 months. u00b7 Working with cross-functional teams: You will collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements. u00b7 Ensuring security and compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring that solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations. u00b7 This will involve implementing security controls, performing vulnerability assessments, and creating documentation. u00b7 Continuously learning and improving: You will stay up to date with AKS services and best practices and continuously improve your skills and knowledge through training and certification programs. u00b7 Expected to review upcoming Kubernetes releases and help with version upgrades while working with the infrastructure team. Required Technical and Professional Expertise: u00b7 At least 3 years of experience in AKS or a related Kubernetes solution. u00b7 Strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service. u00b7 End-to-end Implementation of the Kubernetes architecture - installation, configuration, hardening, networking, etc. u00b7 Configuring Kubernetes auto provisioning, and auto scaling of CI/CD job/build agents/runners/node. u00b7 Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes. u00b7 Sound knowledge on Azure policies. u00b7 Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. u00b7 Experience with automation tools, such as Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. u00b7 Experience with GitOps tools, such as Flux CD or Argo CD. u00b7 Strong grasp of domain-specific architectural patterns and emerging technologies u00b7 Familiarity with infrastructure and network design, as well as compute and storage architecture u00b7 Understanding of modern web and mobile application architectures, frameworks, and design best practices u00b7 Ability to evaluate and apply new technologies to real-world solutions within scalable systems u00b7 Understanding of security and compliance best practices. u00b7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience: u00b7 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. u00b7 Kubernetes certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) are preferred. u00b7 Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 preferred. u00b7 Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) for diagnostics and telemetry analysis in Azure environments u00b7 Familiarity with Java and Java Spring projects is preferred but not required. #LI-AG1 Pay Range: $91,800.00 - $153,200.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
