Business Processing Specialist Category: Administration Main location: United States, Tennessee, Nashville Position ID: J0925-0220 Employment Type: Full Time Position Description: CGI Federalu2019s Housing Compliance team that partners with a local public housing authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist in the provision of affordable housing has an opening for a Business Processing Specialist in Nashville, TN. Under the direction of the Asset Manager/Central Services Manager (CSM), the Business Processing Specialist will work directly with property owners and staff to assist them with a variety of tasks that include: renewals of their affordable housing contracts, determining their annual rent adjustments, reconciling monthly payment requests, processing claims for unpaid rent and damages and extended vacancies. The Specialist will use CGIu2019s propriety IT systems as well as the Microsoft Office Suite to accomplish day-to-day tasks. This is an opportunity to join an energetic team with a collaborative management group and work with affordable housing owners and management companies within an assigned portfolio of properties. New team members receive in-depth training to prepare them for their role. Your future duties and responsibilities: Responsible for managing a portfolio of assisted housing contracts to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all required tasks, which includes the following: u2022 Perform detailed reconciliation of monthly voucher payments to property owners u2022 Renew expiring Housing Assistance Payments contracts u2022 Perform annual contract rent adjustments u2022 Evaluate and approve owneru2019s claims for reimbursement due to unpaid rent, tenant damages and vacancies u2022 Maintain property files and records retention in accordance with HUD and corporate policy u2022 Maintain positive relations with owners, residents and their representatives, neighborhood groups and local governments. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: u2022 Associates degree required OR significant relevant experience in lieu of an Associates degree will be considered. Bacheloru2019s degree is preferred. u2022 Must have at least 2 yearsu2019 experience with regulatory control or compliance in a professional office business / corporate environment. u2022 Professional, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks each with varying deadlines u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. u2022 Strong written and oral communication skills. u2022 Desire to work in a team environment. u2022 Proven ability to accurately and timely complete tasks within the established timelines and quality standards. u2022 Proven ability to understand, interpret and apply written policies and procedures. u2022 Strong customer service skills. u2022 Learn from past experiences and apply to future circumstances. u2022 Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated and proactive Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: u2022 3-5 years of experience performing tasks in a regulatory environment. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $31,500.00 - $57,200.00.
