Head of Payments

Description Location: On site in Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; New Orleans, LA; Memphis, TN Summary: The Head of Payments is responsible for developing and driving the vision, strategy and execution of secure and efficient payment solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker with deep expertise in the Payments ecosystem u2013 including traditional and emerging payment technologies. This role will sit at the intersection of client insight, market intelligence, innovation, and business strategy u2013 and ensure First Horizonu2019s payments product set is driving growth, differentiation, and long-term value. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Lead development of a multi-year product strategyu2014including emerging payments (stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and blockchain)u2014aligned with business objectives, client needs and competitive positioning. u2022 End-to-end product ownership from research/development through profitability. u2022 Anticipate and adapt industry trends. u2022 Evaluate and manage relationships with technology providers, processors, networks and other third-party providers. u2022 Ensure all products adhere to relevant risk controls, regulations, and laws. u2022 Work closely with key internal partners including finance, client experience, operations, technology, digital banking, marketing, and others to deliver seamless and secure payment experiences. u2022 Define KPIs and track performance for continuous optimization, adoption, cost-efficiency and client satisfaction. u2022 Lead, coach, and develop a team of talented product managers. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor (4-year college) degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred REQUIRED SKILLS: u2022 10+ years of experience in product management with a recent emphasis in payments, fintech, or emerging technologies. u2022 5+ years in a leadership role u2022 Deep understanding of the payments landscape and experience working in a highly regulated industry u2022 Proven track record of launching payment products at scale u2022 Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills About Us First Horizon Corporation is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
