District Overview TIC Power (TICP) is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation that provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. Strength in estimating and pre-project planning. Constructing cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal and waste-to-energy generation and resource facilities. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America. Location Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia We relocate our teams based on the work that is available, combined with the development plans, skill sets, and career goals of each team member. Responsibilities Field Engineering: u2022 Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision u2022 Assist in managing the Document Control procedure in the field u2022 Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining the percentage of completed/installed materials and work u2022 Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages u2022 Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data u2022 Assure that quality inspections are being done and sign-off documentation is collected/assist in managing the quality plan u2022 Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets and calculating daily costs u2022 Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHAu2019s) u2022 Participate in job site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training u2022 Order and schedule material deliveries u2022 Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the job site u2022 Supervise field operations u2022 Assist in managing subcontractors Office Engineering: u2022 Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents u2022 Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operation u2022 Assist Engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use u2022 Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested u2022 Assist in scheduling maintenance and performing updates as directed by others u2022 Assist with Document Control to ensure that only current revisions of documentation are being used u2022 Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums u2022 Assist with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management u2022 Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager u2022 Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations u2022 Prepare documentation for weekly and monthly reports to management Estimating: u2022 Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid u2022 Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor u2022 Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents #LI-CB1 Qualifications u2022 Ability to travel and relocate as needed u2022 3+ years' field experience in electrical, mechanical or piping within construction or industrial projects. u2022 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications u2022 Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel u2022 Strong organizational and time management skills u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills u2022 Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies u2022 Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done u2022 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team u2022 Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments u2022 Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
