This position will be in Northridge, CA. As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nationu2019s warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers. Roles and responsibilities: A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise to: u2022 Generate software documentation. u2022 Develop, implement, and maintain existing software for both embedded devices/systems as well as desktop test software based on requirements. u2022 Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities u2022 Software requirements verification and validation. u2022 Use test equipment to troubleshoot software and hardware Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available. The selected candidate for this position is required to be on-site in Northridge, CA. Basic qualifications for a Engineer Software - level (T02): u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in a STEM related field with 2 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering experience, or Masteru2019s with 0 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. u2022 Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a multi-disciplined team environment. u2022 Professional experience developing software in C/C+u2022 Professional experience developing GUI based web applications in C# or Java. u2022 Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance are required. u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, United States citizenship is a prerequisite. u2022 Experience operating oscilloscopes, power meters, power supplies, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers. Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Experience with software version control tools such as Git. u2022 Extensive experience with Windows Desktop applications in C#. u2022 Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. u2022 Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket. u2022 Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software and identify root cause issues. u2022 Ability to set up test equipment to support software development. u2022 Experience working with hardware programmers such as JTAG. Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
