Your Opportunity We are hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineer-EIT to perform engineering work under supervision requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out a sequence of related water/wastewater engineering tasks such as the preparation of simple plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material in accordance with established codes, standards and drawings. Your Key Responsibilities - Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant engineering elements including the analysis and design of water supply, distribution and treatment systems, sewerage networks, and wastewater treatment systems. - Perform basic calculations to analyze and design water/wastewater system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software. - Assist team in preparing water/wastewater designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gather information to support design decisions. - Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices. - Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer. - Assist the team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications. - Perform field work related to construction related activities as required. - Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff. ufeffYour Capabilities and Credentials - Has well-developed understanding of concepts of relevant areas of water/wastewater treatment infrastructure design. - Possesses excellent time management skills; thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources. - Ability to effectively discuss project issues with the project team and support the development of project solutions. - Proficiency in relevant discipline software programs and tools, such as BioWin, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and others. - Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, collaboration, and innovation. - Strong interpersonal skills for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders, including working in remote/virtual settings. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education and Experience - Bacheloru2019s degree in EngineeringBacheloru2019s degree in engineering with an emphasis on Civil Engineering or related field EIT Certification required. - 0-2 years of related work experience or, an equivalent combination of - Position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Must be available to travel for out-of-town projects when needed.
