Director Enterprise Data Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Medica is seeking a visionary leader todrive the strategic transformation of our enterprise data ecosystem.This role will help lead the modernization and execution of dataplatforms with a strong emphasis on modernizing to cutting edge datatechnologies. The Director will help champion scalable, governed, andresilient data delivery through metadata-driven design, version control,CI/CD pipelines, and zero-downtime data load architectures. Inpartnership with fellow data leaders and business strategy stakeholders,this role will evolve Medica's enterprise data strategy, integratingdata from legacy systems and acquisitions into a unified, governedenvironment that supports enterprise-wide decision-making. The Directorwill oversee the collection, management, and analysis of data acrossMedica, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and regulatoryrequirements including HIPAA and CMS. A key focus will be enablingrobust self-service data access frameworks that empower analysts, datascientists, and business users to discover, query, and visualize dataindependently. This includes building curated, reusable data products,implementing semantic layers, and enforcing role-based access controlsfor secure and compliant access. The Director will promote the use ofdata catalogs, lineage tools, and documentation to enhance transparencyand usability across the organization. This leader will also supportcross-functional initiatives to unify data across Medica'secosystem-including Stars, Risk Adjustment, and Provider Connectivityprograms-while collaborating with infrastructure and security teams tomaintain secure, cost-effective environments. Additionally, the Directorwill explore opportunities to integrate AI into data workflows toenhance automation, orchestration, and decision-making capabilities. KeyResponsibilities: Enterprise Data Platform Leadership Own the design,implementation, and management of Medica's enterprise data platforms,including Azure, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric. Drive adoption ofmetadata-driven architecture and open table formats (e.g., ApacheIceberg) to support scalable, governed data delivery. Collaborate withinfrastructure and security teams to ensure resilient, secure, andcost-effective environments. Data Architecture and Engineering Defineand evolve data architecture standards for ingestion, transformation,and delivery across Medica's cloud-native lakehouse environments. Leadthe development of event-driven data flows using Kafka and APIs tosupport real-time responsiveness. Align data architecture withenterprise goals, including integration of acquisition data and legacysystems into unified digital pipelines.
