This role assists in the development andsupervision of student employees and manages operations that impact theguest experience at athletic department hosted events. Additionally, theposition serves as the primary event manager for select events and actsas an operational liaison with the Badger Sports Camps office. Successin this role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, asit involves close engagement with staff, campus partners, vendors, andguests. This position is under the general supervision of the AssistantAthletic Director for External Operations. This role will focus on:Assisting in the management of the Guest Services student employee teamof approximately 80 students. Supervision of student employees includesoverseeing elements of their hiring, training, scheduling, skilldevelopment, event assignments, and performance tracking. Serving as theprimary event manager for select events. This includes collaboratingwith coaches, staff, university departments, vendors, and externalclients to plan events, and creating and managing event plans, diagrams,and staff directives with cross-functional teams. Developing budgetingand financial documents to track operational expenses. Serving as anoperationally minded planning liaison with the Badger Sports Campsoffice.
