JOB REQUIREMENTS: Network Specialist II - Outside Plant Engineering JobLocations US-Remote Location ID 2025-27807 Company TDS Telecom Pay Range$79,400.00 - $129,000.00 Overview In the Network Specialist II - OSPEngineering position, you are expected to assist in the creation of OSPDesign maps using GIS. You will have to understand numerous projects,possibly located in multiple locations and states. You will continuallymonitor design costs and monitor job progress to ensure that projectsare completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible forcontinually working with various governmental agencies to protect theTDS OSP network from being jeopardized by permitting requirements orproposed road improvements. You may be required to negotiate withmunicipalities, other utility companies from a network and a legalperspective for the purchase, lease and/or sale of inner ducts, fiberand/or complete networks. You will work closely with our salesorganization as well as Field Services. It will also have an emphasis onROW, Easement and Pole Attachments and will interact with members of NetOps Compliance as well as working with communities on their permitordinances. Ready to make an impact?Responsibilities Responsible for the design of OSP projects and/orsupervision of consultants who are responsible for coordinating outsideplant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locationsand states. Provide technical support for special request projects suchas, major road moves or potential on-net builds. You must work withFinance to ensure proper accounting of facilities placed and interactwith the legal department to ensure that the company is not at risk inany asset transfers. If needed, assist in the engineering phase ofprojects. This involves creating labor, material, and overheads projectcost estimates. Provide audits of OSP projects and coach consultantsand/or contractors to ensure accuracy and consistency. The audits willensure compliance with National Electrical Code standards and currentTDS OSP standards. Review all required reports from field personnel andcontractor invoicing for accuracy. Manage...
