Packaging Engineer Co op

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description This Co-op will last roughly 8months. It will start in January 2026 and last 6-8 months. There is someflexibility regarding start and end dates. OUR TEAM: The PackagingEngineering team consists of engineers with varied industry experienceand lengths of service providing you with a great ability to both learnand share your experience with others. We also rotate through 2 internseach year who help keep our on-site prototype and testing lab moving. Wework with a broad range of packaging from bottles, caps, vials, andtubes for reagent packaging to foam and corrugated for instrumentpackaging. We have full design and prototyping capabilities for allmaterials in-house. JOB OBJECTIVE: Support the development of packagingdesigns, materials, and processes, and recommend improvements fromconcept through implementation. Contribute to the investigation andanalysis of existing dispensing and packaging operations, with a focuson continuous improvement in quality, cost, throughput, efficiency,workflow, and overall resource utilization. CORE DUTIES: 1. DesignSupport: Assist in the development and modification of packaging designsfor life science products using CAD tools and prototyping methods. 2.Testing & Validation: Perform packaging performance tests such as drop,vibration, and environmental conditioning, and document results tosupport validation efforts. 3. Regulatory & Labeling Compliance: Supportthe creation and review of packaging and labeling components to ensurealignment with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements. 4.Continuous Improvement: Participate in cost reduction and sustainabilityprojects by identifying material optimization opportunities andsupporting process improvements. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to source materials, obtainspecifications, and assist in packaging implementation activities. KEYQUALIFICATIONS: 1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degreein Packaging Engineering. 2. Demonstrated ability to manage multipleprojects in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. 3. Stronginterpersonal skills with a proven track record of contributingeffectively in team settings. 4. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, with attention to clarity and technical accuracy.5. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard officeproductivity tools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
