This position will work withfaculty, staff and students in the critical functions of HR, Payroll &Benefits and Finance/Accounting. This position reports to the DepartmentAdministrator and will serve as a back-up in operational duties. Key JobResponsibilities: Plans, implements, executes, and evaluates existingstrategies and objectives for a program and makes recommendations tounit leadership for program or function enhancement Identifies workflowneeds, contributes to the development of strategic and operationalsolutions, allocates resources, and implements new or revised unitoperational policies and procedures May exercise supervisory authority,including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conductand performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/orapproving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employeesSchedules logistics and secures resources for program activities acrossmultiple work units to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance withappropriate policies, procedures, and specifications May assist in thedevelopment and monitoring of the unit or program budget and approveunit expenditures Leads the development and preparation of periodicreports and financial statements, and records progress, status, or otherspecial reports for leadership or external agencies Contributes to thepreparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation fromoutside sponsorsDepartment: College of Engineering, Department ofNuclear Engineering and Engineering PhysicsCompensation: The startingsalary for the position is $66,000, but is negotiable based onexperience and qualifications.
