JMT, is currently ranked #50 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.A career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking for growth and advancement, is needed to join JMT's fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice. Employee will work with a team of experience project managers and professional engineers working on projects in the water/wastewater field. The selected candidate will become part of an established team of engineers working on exciting sewershed study and rehabilitation, new sewer design, water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and pump station projects in the Mid-Atlantic. Employee is expected to provide quality engineering evaluation and design services efficiently to support the project team's objective and provide customer satisfaction on all projects. This position is not eligible for employer based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with senior engineers in a multi-disciplinary team to develop construction plans and specifications for various design projectsAssist with development of technical evaluation memorandaPrepare engineering cost estimatesPrepare design drawings using 3D design toolsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsCandidates must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production office environment, build successful team relationships and maintain positive coworker interactions.Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs, water and wastewater treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing.Must demonstrate organized practices, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have flexibility to support time-critical report development and production in order to meet demanding schedules.Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project are a plus.Required ExperienceA bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering0-4 years experiencePreferred ExperienceA passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam2-4 years' related experienceWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 85% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
